Volvo ocean race (2008-2009) started from [Alicante, Spain] to [Saint Petersburg, Russia]

‘Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race’ which was taken over by Volvo from 2001 and renamed to ‘VOLVO OCEAN RACE’ (worlds number one yachting race) made a stopover here at Kochi (Cochi)….
Glenn Bourke, CEO of the Volvo Ocean Race commented: “It has always been part of our vision to take the race to different and wider audiences and we are delighted that Kochi has become part of that vision. India not only presents huge opportunities for the development of the event, but this coupled with the daunting challenges the competitors will face when racing their grand prix yachts in unfamiliar waters, will make the visit to India even more exciting for everyone involved. India has hundreds of millions of enthusiastic sports fans and we know they will enjoy this challenging race, with its passion, teamwork, adventure and excitement.”
We (Indians/Keralites) are all proud to hear that, Volvo ocean race has selected Kochi (Cochi) as one of their stopover city.
Volvo ocean race arrived at Kochi (Cochi) from Cape Town on December 03/08

Cochin port trust in association with Kerala tourism has played an amazing role to host the Volvo ocean race stopover.
In around 2.5 acres of land, a race village was set up near the BTP berth at Willingdon Island (Kochi) and various events were organized like ‘Navy Cup Regatta’, ‘Sail Boat Race’ ‘Snake Boat Race’ ‘Mini Pooram’ ‘Kathakali’ ‘Kolkali’, ‘Mohiniyattom’, ‘Kalaripayattu’ ect. to entertain the crew members of Volvo ocean race.
Major luxury cruise vessels with international cruise tourists arrived at Kochi during Volvo ocean race includes ‘Celebrity Quest’, ‘nautical’ ‘legend of the seas’ and ‘Seabourne Spirit’.
Since Kochi is growing as a major cruise tourism destination, Volvo ocean race will definitely help Kochi to uplift its current position in cruise tourism industry.
Kochi port trust and kerala tourism industry has taken this as a golden opportunity to showcase their facilities and management capabilities in tourism industry and thus to explore their real potential.

The organization offers one mua chung gia re for each working day in each solitary of the markets it serves. The Groupon functions as an assurance deal using ThePoint's system: if a certain sum of individuals sign up for the supply, then the supply gets supplied to all if the predetermined minimum is not happy, no 1 will get the deal that functioning day. This lowers chance for retailers, who can deal with the discount coupons as sum low cost rates as properly as solution income advertising devices. Groupon tends to make earnings by keeping about half the cash flow the customer pays for the coupon.
For occasion, an $80 therapeutic massage could be acquired by the consumer for $forty by way of Groupon, and then Groupon and the retailer would break up the $forty. That is, the retailer gives a massage valued at $eighty and will get about $twenty from Groupon for it (under a fifty%/fifty% split). Or, if $240 nicely well worth of home portray suppliers is acquired by the purchaser for $50 by signifies of Groupon, then the company gets $25 and Groupon retains $20 5. The client receives the therapeutic massage, or the house portray assist, in these illustrations, from the retailer for which they to begin with compensated out $forty (or $fifty) to Groupon. There are specific companies to which Groupon originally did not provide its services, which consists of capturing ranges and strip golfing tools even so, getting photos ranges have been highlighted on Groupon.
Not like categorized advertising and marketing and advertising and marketing, the provider company does not pay out out any upfront value to consider part: Groupon collects personalized data from inclined shoppers and then contacts only these shoppers, largely by every day e-mail, who could almost certainly be intrigued in a distinct item or providers.
Groupon employs a massive amount of copywriters who draft descriptions for the provides highlighted by electronic mail and on the net web site. Groupon's promotional text for the 'deals' has been observed as a contributing aspect to the status of the net internet site, showcasing a exclusive mix of total reality-analyzing and witty humor.
Owing to Groupon's sector at present becoming largely composed of female buyers, the gives are regularly centered on the wellness, fitness and splendor marketplaces.
There are possible issues with the company merchandise. Gap, a big garments retailer, was in a situation to consider treatment of 445,000 discount coupons in a nationwide supply (despite the fact that it knowledgeable server difficulties at one particular particular stage), but a scaled-down company could switch out to be abruptly flooded with clients.
